Whereas other Chinese mothers are always telling their daughters to start a family ASAP, my mum is like: are you sure you want to have kids one day? I think the implication is that, me being a rather impatient person, it’s likely to be a frustrating experience.
To paraphrase Audrey Hepburn*, to start a family is to believe in tomorrow. And I believe in tomorrow.
